The Saudi Society for Traffic Safety Salama "Salama aims to spread the concept and culture of commitment to traffic safety and to improve traffic behavior among community members and reduce the rates of accidents and deaths."

The Traffic Safety Committee in the Eastern Province initiated contact with Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University to propose the establishment of a scientific society under the university’s umbrella. The proposal was presented to the relevant councils of the university, and its second session was approved on 12/24/1431 corresponding to 11/30/2010 AD to establish a scientific society It bears the name "Saudi Traffic Safety Association"
